Hainanese Delights

December 16, 2011 : 14 : Comments

The last meal that we ate together was Chicken BBQ and Hainanese Chicken from Hainanese Delights, exactly two weeks ago or so. I miss you, I miss us. If only I could bring back time. :(

How we celebrated our 41st Month:

  • Went to Church to hear the Sunday Mass
  • Went to the Mall to eat dinner at Tokyo Tokyo
  • Roamed around the mall to check some stuffs and shops
  • We we’re craving for sweets so we decided to buy some Ice Creams from Scoopery then some donuts at Dunkin Donut

Yes, we just had a simple celebration because we’re on a budget right now. But hey, we do really like cheap dates. We’re the type of couple which prefers to stay at home to eat, talk to each other, or just watch a movie. Inshort, we’re just simple, we don’t need extravagant things to make us happy because the small things makes us happy already. What’s important to us is that we are together.

It doesn’t matter if you dine at a fancy restaurant or just in a fast food restaurant. What matters most is that you two are together.

If You Stay - Joseph Vincent (Stop Motion Music Video Cover)

Let me share to you guys the stop motion music video that I did for the boyfriend.

Never forget how ardently I admire and love you. Thank you for teaching me a lot of things. Sorry for being stubborn at times. Just always remember how much I love you and I would always take care of you.” - Anj

Dad’s home again! I asked him to buy me some Pringles. But he failed to do so.. Instead, he bought me 2 Rice Crisps of Mister Potato and a huge Toblerone. My parents are really the sweetest :)

Took a few pictures before leaving the house..

Then after getting my certificate at Dusit Thani Manila. Jam and I met up at Centris and went to their place afterwards.

Yikes! I’m Twenty now! Not a teenager anymore.. so that means I’m saying goodbye to my teenage years, and hello to early adulthood!

So how did I spent my day?

Met up with Jam around 12pm and went to Trinoma. Roamed around and finally decided to eat at Yakimix. It was actually our first time to eat at a Smokeless Grill restaurant together, so we we’re really excited on dining there.

Yakimix is an Eat-All-You-Can Buffet that offers Asian Cuisine. I love the ambiance of Yakimix.  They have great lighting, comfortable chairs, huge place and awesome chandeliers.  It always amazes me whenever I enter restaurants and how they decided to decorate the place.  When it comes to dining out and choosing restaurants, there’s just so much to choose from that offering a great meal is not just the only component, but you must be able to offer an environment that is inviting to your customers as well.  Yakimix has a great conceptualized restaurant atmosphere.  From the refreshing and bright lighting, all the way to the glass dividers which were unique unto themselves, and the color scheme was simple but all worked well together.

The Boyfriend and I was so busy cooking different foods that we got at the buffet table. It was really a different experience for us.

Some of the foods that we cooked. I wasn’t able to take a lot of pictures because we we’re so busy eating. Haha!

What you can expect at Yakimix:

  • Maki and Sushi
  • Cooked food replenished like almost every 5 minutes.  We were like people who haven’t eaten for 10 years hahaha!  The favorites among them are tempura shrimps and fried lechon pork.
  • Wide array of raw items for us to cook and season to our liking.  My favorite were the pork and squids. I just love that many of the uncooked foods were already marinaded and seasoned which definitely makes it even easier to get freshly cooked food that tastes so good.
  • The Desserts section at Yakimix is most probably everyone’s favorite.  Aside from the cakes and other yummy desserts. They also have fruits and ice cream!  There were about 4 flavors of ice cream when we were there plus some toppings that we were able to choose from too!  They also have popsicles available.

It’s truly smokeless, we didn’t have to worry about the heat.  Oil was in the grill already so we didn’t need butter as well.

Cake and Ice cream for our dessert! Yuuummmm! *u*

After eating at Yakimix, we decided to watch a movie. There wasn’t really a good selection of movies that time, so we just decided to watch ‘Bangkok Ghost Stories’ hoping that it really is a good horror movie.

We didn’t really enjoyed the movie because we really don’t get the story. It is very ‘magulo’ and senseless.

After watching the movie, we just strolled around the mall and went to SM Fairview after a few minutes.

Upon arriving at SMF we we’re thinking of what we could do there, and yes.. we ended up eating. Haha!

The boyfriend got hungry and wanted to eat burger, that’s why we decided to eat at one of our all time favorite fast food resto - Burger King.

Went home after that. Had fun with the boyfriend! :)

Meanwhile, at our house..

Mom cooked dinner for me! Had a simple dinner at our porch. I love my mom! <3

Did I mention that Dad went home from Singapore that same day? :) *pardon the clothes at the background, we’re at our porch. Haha*

Had a simple but fun celebration with the boyfriend and the family. The little things really means a lot to me :) <3

It’s my off today so I decided to drop by at Jam’s Place. Went there after J’s duty at Mandaluyong. Had some snacks, chitchatted and just had some quality time together.

Btw, this is Rocky. We call him ‘Rockybaby’. He is the very adorable and smart dog of the Del Rosario Family. He is really really sweet, adorable and sooo smart! He knows how to get out of the house, how to get back, where to pee & poop, and a lot of tricks that I wouldn’t mention here anymore. Haha

The boyfriend with Rockybaby. J is really ‘malambing’ with rocky. He even talks to him! I smell bromance! Chos! Haha

Some of Rocky’s picture that I took earlier..

Skittles + Starbust + Snickers + Butterfinger + Babyruth + Reese’s = Heaven!

The chocolates that we are munching on while we we’re talking to each other.

J, Rockybaby and I. Pardon my topless boyfriend and our awkward looking dog. Lol

The Glass Chess Set that they have at their Porch. <3
